My Dream

      Surely everybody in this world have a dream, we wont be living people if we don't have a dream whether it's a small dream like having a nintendo switch or something big like oh being a pilot and you can dream about anything, there's no limit really. The thing is growing up makes me feel like i have to limit my dreams, because suddenly a dream is not just something you daydream about but it's a choice you have to make, a choice that will determine not just your own fate but your own family's. 

        If you ask my 7 year old self, "What is your dream?." she'll answer in her high pitched voice that her dream is to be an international goal keeper, or a witch, or a princess. It's a wonderful thing dream is especially to a kid because to them, it's not just a dream it is a goal for them that they actually believe one day they can achieve them, there are some people in this world that are lucky enough to achieve their dream but it's only a handful of people that you only see on tv.

        Now, i have to think about my dreams carefully, like will my dream accommodate my parents later when they retire?, will my dream help other people?, will it satisfy me?, will it make me feel happy?. See now  growing up, i have to be wise and be cautious because there is no way of knowing if my dream is ever going to be the best answer for all the questions above. So if you ask me what is my actual dream, my actual dream is that all the questions above, all the "will my dream do this or that" can actually have an answers. It's a big dream, almost an impossible dream but really i will do anything for it to be fulfilled no matter what i have to do, no matter what choices i have to make, and surely this is the best dream anyone can have, right?, but no one can answer that question because really like i said the first time, there's no limit to your dreams if you just let it be. All of this limit i'm talking about is actually not a limit, it's just responsibilities, and people's expectations. Again, you don't have to limit yourself just because of external factors but then again who wants to disappoint other people, and disappointing other people means you're disappointing yourself, but hey that's only my point of view and my own opinion.

 My Holiday    My family and i had been planning to go on a vacation for our year-end holiday and so we were planning to go to Jakarta and visit my sister who is pursuing her baking career there. Our plan was to stay in Jakarta for three weeks so that we would've had time to just lay around and to nothing at our homestay. Honestly, from the moment i arrived in Jakarta until the day that i had to go back to Bandung, i realized I hadn't done anything or gone anywhere that is memorable enough so that i can call that 3 weeks a "vacation" because all i did was eat and sleep all day and i rarely went out. but the actual vacation did happen when i went to a seventeen concert. Dare I can say that that concert was the  highlight of my vacation and probably the only time i ever woke up before noon.  Ni Nengah Widiasih Ni Nengah Widiasih, or Widi, is one of Indonesia's weightlifting athletes. She competes in the Asean Paragames and the Paraolympics, and she manages to bring home many medals, including a bronze in the Paraolympics. She was diagnosed with polio when she was 3, and ever since then she had to use a wheelchair. Her brother was the one who introduced powerlifting to her. In one of her first competitions, she managed to win a gold medal with only 3 months of practice. Reading her story really motivates me to work hard and to never give up. Her story tells me that no matter what, nothing can stop me from achieving my dreams.
